The Constitution does NOT stipulate the number of Supreme Court justices — Congress does. The size has changed 7 times over the years, varying from 6 to 10 seats. There are currently 13 federal appellate courts, and many say it makes sense to expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats.

What do you think?

I think there should be more to represent the growing and changing dynamics of the population. They are only serving a Christian agenda right now!

I would rather go with a 20 year term limit. 13 Justices with lifetime tenure won't address the potential for inherent corruption. Put them on Senior status after 20, if they would still have billionaire sugar daddies it wouldn't affect rulings.

It’s common sense. 9 justices were set up when there were 9 Federal Appeals Districts. One Justice to oversee one district. There are now 13 districts. So…

does that "7 times" include when McConnell virtually and unilaterally, without legislation, reduced SCOTUS to 8 seats for a year?

I say 13 circuits; 13 SCOTUS. Helps boondoggles. Also need better way of screening than hearings bc, as we’ve seen, some will lie thru their teeth for highest seat. There has to be a better way to do this.

I think it depends on how the 2024 elections come out. If we have democrats controlling the house, senate and the presidency definitely expand the court.

What do I think? I think the Democrats need to get majorities in both houses first.
