Women have always fought back. This needed to be brought to light. Denial of history hurts us all.

On the eve of May Day I have placed yellow flowers on my doorstep, as they do in Ireland, for good luck and to deter pesky fairies. Happy May Day, everyone.

Confession: I still pop into the other site despite the evil overlord. Why? Mostly it's cultural stuff I crave. My day can be made with an ancient tool found in ice, a burrowing owl peeking out of the ground, someone's spectacular peony. My fingers are crossed this site is growing into that, too.

Also please ((ECHO)) this spout to spread the word. Thanks!

I agree and like this suggestion.
Jonathan @JonathanI find I'm less inclined lately to Echo a spout because echoing causes a spout to show up multiple times on my feed. I wish it was set up so that when a spout is echoed, it shows up on the original post only as having been echoed x-number of times, but doesn't repeat. Would that be possible to do?05:33 PM - Mar 12, 2023

I wish echoes could be combined, so for example it could say "Person A, Person B & Person C Echoed..." instead of seeing the same Spouts over and over again in my timeline. Show it once with the names of who has echoed it. I hope I'm making sense.

I'm reposting this link to the Big Bear Bald Eagle Nest Cam because I just saw the two parents switch places and it was fantastic. Happens around 12:16. Sound on, too, for them talking a bunch and wind!

Yes! This is the point.
It's easy to get people riled up -- and goad them to act on their feelings.
Emotions as politics.
Works quite well, particularly when you have no real platform or policies.
Just hate.

I was fortunate to meet Jimmy Carter during Habitat for Humanity Builds. On commercial flights, he would walk the isle and greet everyone on the plane and during Habitat builds, he would stop by every house to check on the progress and take a group photo. So humble and committed to humanity.

Thank you for putting that out there. I'm white but I also struggle with that scale every time.
Bedford Palmer II, Ph.D. @drbfpalmerTo the medical professionals out there. Please stop asking folks to rate pain on a 10pt scale. It’s subjective and facilitates medical racism.04:17 PM - Feb 18, 2023
Instead, ask them to describe the pain. Ask about the qualities of pain.
Is it throbbing, shooting, aching, burning, etc. #ChronicPain
