One by one, everyone in my office is coming down with something. Even if it's not COVID, it's still hitting everyone hard. Remember that COVID has immune erasure effects like measles and targets your system like HIV does, so "regular" infectious pathogens wreak more havock.

Finally saw Barbie this weekend and one of my favorite parts was that as Stereotypical Barbie becomes more and more human, she looks more human. Increasingly less makeup and airbrushing, platinum to "natural" blonde, less saturated irises, etc.

Meta has such a capitalistic policy in place for COVID posts. I understand they want to block misinformation, but hiding all COVID content from recommended posts and instead redirecting people to the CDC and WHO websites that rarely and quietly update with important information isn't the answer.

I'm amazed at the number of people getting sick with COVID who recover (or "recover") and then continue to not wear a mask.
