I recently qualified for PSLF. My Student loan balance is now $0. A breakdown in numbers:
The amount I borrowed $20,000
The amount I received: $18,000
The amount I paid over the years: $27,000
The amount forgiven under PSLF: $61,000
Interest rate: 7.8%

So, I just discovered that since my student debt was in default I'm eligible 2b back in good standing BUT... having been in default, even if I pay on time every month no matter what, my loans still accrue interest. The new rules don't apply to default. WTF? #CancelStudentDebt

I’ve got a huge problem with corporations and politicians getting their loans forgiven while hard-working people are stuck with the bill for educational loans they took out when they weren’t even old enough to buy a beer or rent a car.

I paid off my student loans, and paid my 3 kids' college costs. I am not rich. I think three things should happen:
1 Every loan where the balance is greater than the original loan is forgiven.
2 For the rest, the first $50K is forgiven.
3 The banks don't get tax dollars, they write off the loans.

If you’re against student loan debt relief because you paid yours, did you have the same position for banks, that made their money off the citizens deposits and still squandered it all, bailouts; you definitely need to rethink your position, imo #CancelStudentDebt
