While working on my following skills in West Coast Swing, I started attending a social dance night at a C&W venue just to clear my head. Country Two Step required me to dance backwards quite often. I discovered an entirely new set of muscles! (OW!) It made me stronger all the way around.

When my 7 year old was fascinated by swearing, I challenged him to be creative. He embarked on a years long endeavor to learn the word, "shit" in as many languages as possible. He even hung a map to mark them. He also learned geography and language families. Wish I could remember them myself.

Bobert's District 3 in green. It's huge because it's all rural low density, and again, very conservative. And yes, she's an embarrassment to the state

Not surprised. Look at the history of Colorado Presidential elections. Most of the state is deeply conservative. With the population boom, the urban progressive areas now outnumber the low density conservative areas. Only blue since '08

Yes! You're right, tongue is very good. If you like head cheese, you're sure to like the skin. It's kind of like eating head cheese without the aspic.

Thank you!!! Koja fits. Your reluctance is understandable. Do try it if you can.

I like the boiled skin on it's own, scraped of fat and lightly salted. But then again, I grew up living next door to a grandmother who made head cheese from the actual pig's head. And I like that as well.

Haha! They knew how to get it done. What fun to share this with you!

Question: Just last week, I was trying to find the word for boiled pig skin. I have no idea how it's spelled. Pronounced, co-shoo. Do you happen to know?

Paska and Kozunak are similar.

Found this: Paska breads are a traditional element in the Easter holidays of Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Romania, Russia, Georgia, Moldova and parts of Bulgaria, as well as Turkey, Iran and the Assyrian–Chaldean–Syriac diaspora

SAME! Her pin looked like a dowl rod, or even a broom handle someone had polished until it had a beautiful sheen. I never came close to making it like she did and defaulted to store bought.

Also, my grandmother, not having access to the type of cheese and yogurt in the recipe, used cottage cheese. Really. And it was very good. She also made it with unsweetened, or barely sweetened baked pumpkin. While I didn't inherit her knack for phyllo, I make a decent Paska.

Oh, shades of my childhood! My grandmother used to make Banitsa for all the family gatherings. She would make a ball of dough from flour, salt and water, then use her pin to roll it into a table cloth of phyllo Once done, she would hold it up and tell me, "must be see through, not break".

Shame on WaPo. It wasn’t a raid. They implemented a court-authorized search warrant.

TFG, of course, calls it a raid.
