Should have kept the winner's design and added the chat bubble to fit with it.
The new logo looks disjointed — the jawline of the whale is not well defined.

I noticed many people are having a difficult time identifying the light blue shape as a thought bubble. Possibly because a thought bubble would come out of your head, not your belly. Spoutible is a wonderful place and NOT the belly of the whale.

I do not recall this being among the choices when voting but I like it best of all! Incorporating the speech bubble into it is very clever and the whale is totally recognizable, but does not look childish. Well done!

I am a bit confused. What happened to the winning logo design by @Strandjunker from the contest? While I don't dislike this new logo, I am a bit concerned about it's wider aspect and how much it will have to be scaled down (or cropped) to fit inside square icons for apps, touch icon, bookmarks, etc.
