That's exactly how I see it. I'm surprised people think that there is a simple solution that Biden (and other world leaders) haven't been clever enough to come up with, or just refuse to use in spite of the horrendous loss of life.

Diplomacy is exactly what Biden is utilizing. He can encourage peace and ceasefire on both sides. In 2021 he convinced Israel to stop. They re-elected Bibi and here we are. Do you think sanctioning either or both will change a thing? No. The extremists on both sides intend to annihilate the others.
