Ok- I re read your reply and Wow. I didn’t know that about the $0 a month payment. Right now. I’m waiting on Moehla to let me know (they’re in the process of these changes) when and what date to make another payment. Seems they’re in the process of transitioning right now. With the law changes

I dont want to go in deferment is what I meant.. as for the $0 a month option. I think also, the payments I’ve re paid now will count toward credit (can’t explain it like she did but I think you know what I meant). Lol you seem to know it better than me.

Well, it hasn’t happened yet and I still need to make sure I qualify - hasn’t been 10 years yet - but she explained that - the Save program might be another option. We can afford to make the payments so I don’t have a reason to not do so- I Just pray that One of these options work for me soon!

Good afternoon. So here’s an update. My loan is now being serviced by Moehla (sp) & the rep explained to me what no one else has ever done. I can qualify as a sub if ten yrs and or I might even get a break through the Save program. I wanted to log on ☺️and tell you this #Faith

When I hear the amount some ppl owe in student loan- my face contorts and I cringe.
😬 it’s ridiculous. I just feel like ppl who work in education period, deserves a break and loans forgiven.

I agree. Fortunately for me, I’m able
to “choose to sub” and not have to rely on it as my source of income. Some ppl are not in a position to do this and must depend on it.
That being said, as someone with a Masters’ degree period, I feel that Good substitute teachers make a huge difference.

I’m not a certified teacher. Thus, why I pursued college level administration.
I sub for public schools. I hope soon substitute teacher educators, can make the list for loan forgiveness or some other avenue. I’m #Hopeful I feel like being an educator even subbing should mean something :-)

I substitute teach part time (limited opportunities to use my M.Ed in Higher Ed). But I digress. Unfortunately, I’ve applied for the program & I don’t meet the requirements. I don’t work for a non profit either. I’m Hoping! & praying.

Yes! 🙌🏾 it’s time I make this trip & decided not to go in November as planned. Spoke w/ 2 sisters yesterday I was connected to. Election time in Ghana is Nov as it is here. She suggested avoiding that time. So I’m planning for Jan 2025z ☺️

People are IMO the absolute worse! I have to restrain from stating my thoughts on how I Really feel about racist demons. I’ll never understand how some ppl specifically the racist white ppl. Can be so hateful!

I agree! They treated her wrong; treated her as if she was not a human being with feelings, and I also read: a director called her into his office and made her say the N word several times. The book by Donald Bougle, (sp) Tom’s, Coons, Mammies I believe is where I read this.

I get it. I would share the same concerns as you. These days especially for me, I’m just not comfortable being in spaces where the majority of the folks don’t look like me. I prefer being in places and attending events where there is definitely diversity!
