I've been on Spoutible since this was a dial up modem site and you had to communicate using Esperanto.
Sarah Apfel @apfel_sarah
I've been on Spoutible since Day 1, and we had to walk 10 miles there and back every day - uphill both ways - with Elon's Flying Monkeys flinging poo at us, even! The sacrifices we made for you dang young peoples...

I don’t have a clue where I saw this picture so I cannot credit the photographer. My apologies. It is so beautiful - I thought I should share.

I agree about the Stranger but found both The Catcher in the Rye and A Clockwork Orange even worse. I don't like shitty characters who remain shitty throughout and refuse to grow or change.

Spent way too much time looking, unsuccessfully, for @RetiredLibrarian 's question about a revered book you dislike... Anyway, I thought of one: The Stranger. Ugh. I hate the racism & sexism, & the stupid "nothing matters" so-called existentialist philosophy. Plus it's like a shooter's guidebook.

When I told the Wired reporter we planned to out-engineer the competition and release new features faster than anyone else, he said I was "delusional." Within 8 months, we have released more features than all of the Twitter alternatives. The funny part about this is that we have a lot more planned.

A small but growing army of volunteers is poring over archives to find laws from the 18th and 19th centuries that demonstrate a long historical tradition of strict gun regulations.

One year into this work, they're already proving the Supreme Court wrong.

You just exited a 17-year toxic relationship with Twitter, and your friends convinced you to start dating again. One of your friends introduced you to Mastodon, and you went out on one date. Mastodon was too techie, and you spent the entire evening not understanding WTF Mastodon was talking about.

One day after my escape from Florida, the oppressive laws passed earlier this year went into effect, and Florida slipped even further into darkness.
