Who owns the publication and who is in charge of departments w/in that publication plays a big role on what “news” we read. Their beliefs and biases come to light, even if their name isn’t on the price.

NYT is a good example of that. Both then and now.

The NYT was around in the 1920s/30s and published pieces that made Americans think Hitler wasn’t a bad guy.

And I’m sure if we did some digging, we’d find it played a role in making Americans believe those fleeing Nazi Germany needed to be kept out of the US, too.

I’d love to see a dive into how GOP PACs use their money. I get way more BS emails from republicans than I do Dems. They definitely love selling data - I want to know how much they spend on doing so.

Now would be a good time to start making sure Republicans aren’t running uncontested and get people to run against those who are. They might still win the race, but they will have to spend their own money to do it.

They knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they had her do it from a kitchen

Or putting one up on a green screen. Was she at the SOTU??

It wasn’t by accident.

Doing this helped me A LOT for our school board and state senate race last year. Our Dem candidate for senate had a recent history of supporting healthcare denying, book banning MAGAs. He blocked anyone who asked why.

Some of these people have red flags if you look at their histories. I repeatedly brought up the ones a MAGA supporting Dem who ran for state senate last year had.
Dems told me to shut up and vote for him anyway.
THAT behavior needs to stop,
“Vote blue no matter who” has consequences.

Check their donation histories. Not just who donated to them, but who THEY donated to. We had a Dem candidate run for state senate last year who donated to his MAGA opponent just before entering the race. She wasn’t the first MAGA he supported.

Can a state use the 14 amendment to keep insurrectionists off the ballot for their state elections, though? That’s the impression I got when I heard the oral arguments.

I’m so glad I had the idea to see if I could get some using my husbands name instead of mine. Got two free ones last week after he tested positive for Covid.

He complained of body aches, too. I was surprised he didn’t have a fever. His complaint of a headache made me think it was Covid though. That was a first symptom for us back in 2022.

My husband has been sick since Wednesday. No fever. Finally got him to take a test today and it’s positive.

He’s never had a fever with his infections. It’s why I demand a Covid test when my kids are at the doctor with symptoms. They still tell me people can only have it with a fever.

It is OK take a break if you feel
Exhausted. Where is this Democrat from? I know a few in VA who have stepped back because we don’t get a break from major elections here like most other states. They’re exhausted after their experiences last year. Political Burnout *is* real.

Nothing about what will actually help:

masking, staying home when you’re not feeling well, getting vaccinated, demanding reform.
