I've seen Spouties complain on the dirty bird that their home timeline here only has like 4 spouts. Then I look at their account here and see that they're only following like 7 people. That's exactly what you would expect and it's not going to be like on an algorithmic feed that finds content.

Seems to reflect why "good news" segments in traditional media don't seem to have the same draw as "bad/worrisome/disconcerting news" reports, doesn't it?
Wonder if we're just wired that way as humans. Danger or fear-provoking lights our self-preservation lamp more than safety/comfort does.
