Personally I have been waiting for the Novavax XBB booster to be approved, b/c of its likely longer immune memory and fewer side effects. I'm excited that it is here! Will be calling pharmacies to find it and make an appointment.

As a biomedical researcher, I can tell you with certainty that a #GovernmentShutdown is terrible for scientific progress.😢
Shudown => no grant review at NIH, NSF, etc, and major delays to grant funding => cancelled/wasted experiments, delayed/lost breakthroughs, potential loss of jobs & expertise

Remember last year's severe wave of hospitalizations from RSV? Now newborns can be protected. A new vaccine (Abrysvo) is now FDA-approved to protect babies from RSV, in their first 3-6 months of life. Moms-to-be can request it at 32 to 36 weeks of pregnancy.
