Yes, it'd be state-by-state, even district-by-district

I just saw that some R GA senators are working to make a new law banning it in their state, presumably because they know they can't get a majority to vote for them even as 4th choice

IIRC, Maine & Alaska have it for US House, but not higher

people notice what you say the most when you say something they disagree with.
And if you are badass you don't give a shit about any of that.

Rivka is right. He's paying for the right to run not running to get paid for a political job.

I found him compelling and articulate when he came out of the gate but -smh- he lost me when he took Bill Atkins money and then set up on Twitter with Elon Musk. I'm done with him.

I wish he had waited until 28 because now everyone thinks and see him as a joke. I truly believe he cares.

thread 3 Threaded Spouts
Sending aid to Ukraine or Israel or any other country is not the reason why we don’t have universal healthcare, or student loan forgiveness or this or that. It’s republicans—we could stop every single dollar of foreign aid and they would still be against all those things.

Unfortunately for all of us, I am one of those people whose brain has a very high clock speed, so while I bear it with as much grace and good will as I can, today is one of those days where I'm in line behind the customer who is figuring out their life in real time, and a cashier who is .. new.

A Gentle Reminder that you don't personally have to commit racist acts or even hold racist beliefs to enjoy privilege due to undeniably racist systems & structures that disproportionately benefit you, personally, at the expense of others #HandyProTip #TheMoreYouKnow #TaDa

Let me be clear. Some Jewish friends - pro-Palestinian, pro-BLM, liberal fighters for justice - are extremely frightened by the anti-Semitism they've seen since the Hamas massacres. One posted: "The number of people I trust to hide my family has drastically shrunk." Hide my family. Let that sink in.

I think we should go for a 3rd round to see how many more 'no' votes he can drum up.
Bernard S @MisterSkribner
The number of no votes increased by two today. So, yes, he is getting more "loserly" by the day.

If you're condemning Israel for genocide, then I damn well better see you condemn Hamas for doing the same to the Israeli people.

Because killing every last Jew is, and has always been, Hamas' mantra.

Could've made a boring Friday night into an amusing one with one phone call to call 911 excitedly telling them you're involuntarily confined in the building, saying "I can't get out! What if there's a fire!" a couple times.

Contemplation:

What keeps you smiling on the worst of days?

Me:

The kindness of strangers.
The beauty of nature.
Animals.
The cosmos.
The belief that everything is connected.

How about you?

This is a first time visitor for me. A Great Spangled Fritillary visited my zinnia plants today. He stuck around for a while, relatively unphased by human activity.

Because capitalism is inherently exploitative, changing it will require movements from below rather than buying into the idea that capitalism can be successfully tinkered with by technocratic reformers with clever policy ideas.

In response to Rivka.
There is absolutely no reason a private citizen should be able to buy a 50 caliber rigle or a 338 lapua. The minimum and maximum affective range of these weapons are far too extreme for an individual to have any realistic use outside of a combat scenario.
