Ooooh yes! The tops of my ears would sometimes get singed. Still, it was mostly a pleasant time spent with my mother. While pressing my hair, she would sometimes tell me stories of her family, stories that had been told for generations.

Most Trumpers are like their boss. They lie as easily as they breathe, and they’re greedy.

I do wonder if DeSantis' wife will run for governor once his 2nd term is over. She night give it a try. She's always seemed far more ambitious than him.

The best? No. Maybe the least bad of a very, very bad lot. Still, I think there's even worse in the GOP House barrel. They're just keeping a low profile.

Reagan was evil. I was in college during his first term and though I didn't know much about politics, I knew then he was bad for the U.S.

U.S. journalists who cover politics, especially on the national level, are unserious people who think Biden is BORING. They love scummy carnival barker Trump because he makes their jobs easier.

I took this photo in February 2020. My father's hand on my mother's, comforting her as she lay in the hospital. She died in February 2022 at 94. My dad, 95, is still alive, but dementia has taken hold of him. I cherish this photo, as sad as it makes me.

They probably feel entitled, certainly empowered, to use the vouchers for whatever they want. Among other things, the GOP has fostered a culture of impunity.

Funnily enough, I can skateboard. I don't do tricks or anything, just cruise along, but I've never had trouble with a skateboard. Yes, I've taken my share of falls, but, for me, roller skates are so different.

I haven't watched CNN in years. I think pretty much all news programming, network and cable and especially when it comes to politics, is well nigh unwatchable.

Because touting the good things is boring to them. They like ginning up outrage and reporting every little thing that Trump does because ratings. That's all national media is good for now.

He, like too many techbros, have made a fetish of free speech without actually wanting the responsibility that comes with it in what I suppose could be called a digital public square. It's like community standards don't exist to people like him.

Big money GQP donors should pool a bunch of their money and offer it to Trump to go away. Repub pols are too cowardly to stand up to Trump, and he might take the money and run.

I think she's running to someone's VP in 2024. I don't think she'll get picked, although the GOP is so cynical that it might go with her because Kamala Harris is the current VP. Haley's a craven opportunist. I doubt she'll ever be president.

I think people on the left side of spectrum were/are too easily cowed by accusations from right wingers that (take your pick) liberals are soft on crime, communism, etc. U.S. news media also bent over backward to prove it's not liberal.

IMHO, too many white women will choose whiteness above all else time and time again because of the proximity to power, safety, and security they get in exchange. I think they also see advancements of other groups as a threat to their husbands and sons.
