I find it interesting that the concept of "woke" and "stay woke" has been around for almost 100 years and was part of the civil rights struggle in the 1960's.

My district is consistently blue in Texas. We are gerrymandered out the wazoo in favor of the Republicans, and yet the area that was affected by the last school shooting voted red. How do you get past that mindset? Your children are killed, yet you still vote red?

Found out tonight, that one of my dearest friends was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Staying positive for him and am planning to start exercising with him...but inside the fear is winning the battle tonight.
