I made these #sourdough soft pretzel knots last night for the 2 of us. We ate them warm and there are 4 left this morning.

I henceforth will no longer be making these pretzel knots because we can not be trusted around them! #pretzelday

Bloomer Loaf.
Saw a pretty loaf of bread on YT and made it today, cuz why not?
It's NOT sourdough, so I felt like I was cheating 😄 but it sure is a pretty thing. This large (500g) yeasted bread is a Bloomer Loaf. Will definitely make again!

BEFORE: Playing with sourdough today. Added einkorn wheat, which I never used, but increased the water by 5% to increase hydration to 75%.

AFTER: Just baked that loaf, and boy, is it beautiful. That EAR! (last pic) Can't wait for it to cool so I can try it :) Baking bread is such a joy. #sourdough

Attempted my first garlic sourdough loaf yesterday: FAIL (although dense af, it's still a tasty frisbee 🤦)

Made a sesame topped plain sourdough loaf crunchy pillow today: SUCCESS!👌

When asked your age, always age UP, not down. This way you look "great for your age" or just "wow!" It's a lot more satisfying than looking like an old AF "29" year old.

I made 6 loaves of sourdough this weekend. This small one's cute. The large boule I accidentally squished. I call it my SQUISH HEART loaf (my band was called Wish Heart.) Not really funny, generally, but it makes me giggle every time I look at it. 😆 #sourdough #sourdoughbread

I'm fully addicted to baking sourdough. For this one, I divided the dough for 2 smaller loaves to give away at work tomorrow. One is a little more baked, hope it's not overdone. Nah, who am I kidding, it'll be great because all sourdough is! From pre-rise dough to final loaves. #sourdough #sourdough

Yesterday, 2 days after Mother's Day, FTD FINALLY got the flowers I ordered to my MIL. Getting these to her was a nightmare, but they finally delivered and the blooms are gorgeous, so... enjoy the view.

The gorgeous Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades is a bucolic retreat from the usual L.A. hurly burly. They have signs saying "Don't dump turtles in our lake" and I found that really odd, like is that such a big problem it warrants a sign?
