My home game is based largely around the Feywild, in Exandria. I'm having a blast digging into it. I've never looked a ton into the Feywild's lore.

That sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing!! I'm currently running one if my groups through a Tal'dorei campaign where they will be trying to figure out why the city of Emon suddenly disappeared.

This is the game that got me hooked on DnD in the first place, and I'm hoping it can be the same for someone else. If you've been wanting to play, but haven't had a chance, or looking for a new group, or even know someone who is, please send them my way. I promise, it will be a blast!

It's WAY faster! I didn't think I'd notice a huge difference, but I definitely did. I love it!

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of that, but I also get the reasoning for it. The new pace is awesome, though.

It is, without question, my favorite piece of media right now. My only complaint is that I have to wait a week between episodes!

Worlds Beyond Number is the best. Like, literally, the best. Heartwarming, funny, emotional...It hits it all.

I'm sure I don't need to mention Critical Role, as you're probably already aware that this little show exists. 🤣 Faeforged Academy is another I've been getting into, lately.

That's the best response to any question that you don't definitively have the answer for. And yes, that includes answers where your answer would be some random, out of context snippet of scripture designed as a platitude or to prove your point. "The Bible is clear" isn't the dunk people think it is.

I think the temptation with defining science fantasy is to go steampunk, but I would also lean into science fantasy looking like Star Wars, too.

Psionics are definitely a must. There's got to be a better way to do them than 5e did, though. They were so ridiculously unbalanced with the Mystic.

I am, too. I think it says a lot about his character that he stood up for what she wanted. I haven't watched You, but I'm more excited to see more stuff that he's in, now.

And I don't disagree that they can show healthy sexual relationships and intimacy between characters. But is that really the reason they're there? I don't think it's inherently bad that sex scenes exist...But I also can't remember one I've seen that left me thinking it was needed.

While I don't disagree with you about women not having the same opportunity, a lot of the discourse I'm seeing on the bird app isn't that. It's people very forcefully equating this to some puritanical reasoning and bending over backwards to explain why sex scenes are necessary in film and TV.

I'm not so puritanical as to say sex scenes shouldn't exist...But, my God...The people acting like this is some great affront to cinema is just weird. I have no problem with sex scenes being in shows...And I have no problem with them not being in shows. 3/

Just like it's OK for someone to say. "This makes me uncomfortable, so I'm not going to do it." Yes, sex scenes in film and TV can convey the state of the relationship. You can also convey that in ways where actors don't need to simulate having sex. 2/

Critical Role has a special spot in my heart, just because it's what got me into ttrpgs. I love them both for different reasons, though. If you're interested, Critical Role's Calamity mini series is DM'd by Brennan and has both Aabria and Lou in it. It's outstanding.

Just by not being rigid in my thinking, at the table, and by listening to what my players thought, their experience improved. That is collaborative storytelling. It's not a DM vs Players game. It's a group of friends telling an epic story together. 4/4 #ttrpg #dnd #dnd5e

One said, "I think, if we kill the sahuagin, the shadows will disappear." I hadn't thought of that, but I loved it. So I let it happen. Then, they started asking why the third didn't have a shadow attached. And now, that's become part of the narrative for next session. 3/ #ttrpg #dnd #dnd5e

In my new home game, for example, I'd set up an encounter. 3 sahuagin...And, because I wanted a little more of a challenge for my 5 level 1 players, 2 detached shadows that came off of 2 of the sahuagin. Immediately, my players started theorizing why 2/ #ttrpg #dnd #dnd5e
