Eiwwww.

The last time I had Panera, they were completely out of bread and sent apples instead - and honestly - Panera fish milk soup and a side of apple is the stuff of nightmares.

My 17YO and I were playing around with chatgpt and having it write essays about obscure medieval funerary pieces for his AP Art History class. We were having a hard time even discerning the accuracy of what we were reading. Really wild.

Yup. Voter suppression. Because they can't win in GA when the people vote - and vote with ease.

In fact, they can't win lots of places when hardworking Americans have the time, place, and convenience of voting.

Disgraceful.

My kids are COVID teens - so I wonder if numbers have dropped significantly since the pandemic?? Or if it's simply a matter of having everything at their fingertips. She does buy/share actual books, both for school and enjoyment.

My daughter goes to school (and votes) in ATL. We're from Colorado (all mail-in vote) and she was shocked by the amount of time (in line) she had to set aside in her day to vote in elections.

My daughter is finishing her junior year at Emory University and told me she's been to the library twice in her college career.

I was stunned.

Yes. And one day my son will tell his kids about how he had to physically type on a keyboard to form words to create essays instead of just using the mind reader app. 👀

Indeed. I did manage to painstakingly walk my son through the difficulties of writing a research paper in the late 1980s (library, card catalog, photocopies of research, typewriters) to make my point. It's the proverbial 'uphill both ways' talk. #BackInMyDay

I was just talking to my 17YO son about the future of essay writing now that AI technology is at everyone's fingertips and we wondered if professors would move towards class discussions and participation (in class writing) more.
