Canada should pass a law requiring maintenance of scientific journal libraries during all administrations. It should not be needed but as long as the Christofascists crave power, it will be.

So that is $80.7 billion, just for the federal government. Then there are state prisons that also house a great number of people. Included in the federal number is the cost of housing immigrants detained by CBP.

Spending per prisoner varies widely across states, from about $18,000 per prisoner in Mississippi to $135,978 per prisoner in Wyoming in 2020. States spent an average of $45,771 per prisoner for the year.

Dems really should raise the issue of what it costs to hold someone in prison for a year. On the cheap end it starts around $20,000 per year and goes way up for some populations. Most penitentiaries are $35-50K per year. Guantanamo is over a million per year per prisoner. And we are paying for it.

Are Republicans helping constituents? Hard at work drafting bills to help regular people out? Trying to cut red tape? Working across the aisle?

No - the Freak/Dumb Caucus continually crank out bills or amendments to bills that they know will never become law, to act "cute" for their vengeful base.

Along with training standards, including in law. Very few cops actually know the law, especially when it comes to personal rights. Yes, you can film cops. This has been upheld by SCOTUS but you still see cops telling people to stop recording them.

It will be a tough two years, but the toxic material must be cleared. I hope everyone knows that if Trump wins in 2024 that Hawaii won't see any more aid.

Anyone living in a blue state subject to natural disasters must realize that if something bad happens and Trump is Prez there will be no help.

It is a test most Fundigelicals would fail, and fail massively. I've long thought that tax exempt status should require churches, synagogues and other religious groups to prove they are doing things for the public good to keep their tax exempt status.

I think alcohol plays a big role in her life. The bowling alley her and her ex owned had a liquor license, and he was drunk when he exposed his dick to a young girl. The theater incident happened with her new boyfriend, who owns a bar.

Sidenote - his bar is very gay friendly and has drag shows.
