To clarify my last spout: education is being destroyed by a test-and-data driven, one-size-fits-all curriculum. It benefits the wealthy and corporations who steal public monies through the system. It destroys kids.

As an English teacher, I like to consider the ramifications on brain development when my students write their work.
I also like for them to use ink, as it forces them to plan several words ahead of what they are writing.

This coincides with a huge movement away from physical texts, toward tablets, iPads, and online reading, as well as easy access to “shortcuts” in reading. Our district has had no “texts” for English for over 10 years. Teachers were just supposed to find what they wanted to teach.

I would definitely use the car less if I had an e-bike (we are exploring option buy one). People who love cars should want all the rest of us to use e-bikes so they have a clearer road! It's a win win!
