The one I want to see is Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gosling and Tom Hiddleston. I contend they're all actually the same person. Casting them together would either prove me wrong or fracture the space-time continuum.

The upside: If more people pay attention because they think it's salacious, maybe more will find out what a grifter and sleaze he is.

And if "fundraise" is an acceptable verb, what's the past tense -- "fundraised"???

As for "greenlit," it's a sort of term of art in the movie/TV world: To greenlight a project is to approve it for production. To my mind, the past tense would be "greenlighted."

Hmm. I see/hear "fundraise" all the time. Maybe I'm wrong, but it bothers me. "Fundraising"? Fine. But shouldn't it be "raise funds"?

YES!!! Thank you. Here's another thought: What about awkward formations like "fundraised" or "greenlit"?

Glad you like it. Does "fundraise" fit in there? I hope so, because it makes my teeth grind every time I hear it.

I usually avoid the his/her vs. they problem by changing the subject from singular to plural. Instead of "Each student must..." I write "All students must..."

Thanks. I believe what he handed to the VP and Speaker was a transcript of the speech, which I've seen every president do at the beginning of their SOTU. Closeup shots seem to indicate his version was in script format.

Whether he used a teleprompter or printed notes, it would have been foolish for him -- or *anyone* who gives important, lengthy public statements -- to speak entirely from memory.

In the example "Who is going to decorate the room? set up the food? clean up?" I notice you haven't capitalized the first letters of the words immediately after the question marks. Are those not separate sentences (with the subjects implied)?

Not completely untraceable -- if I click on the mystery spout, it does take me back to where I can see what it replies to, but I shouldn't have to. I hate to play the "back on Twitter" card, but at least there the default appeared to be that the reply automatically came with the original.

I've done both, received no response, not even an automated "We received your message." My main complaint/query/request: Replies w/o the original post are cryptic/frustrating. Is there a way I can see them in context? Nothing in Settings seems to apply.

I think there should be clearer, less partisan ways to remove unethical SC judges, but again, I think open-ended appointments -- if made wisely to begin with -- actually protect the unbiased nature of the court.

I agree on upper age limits -- they're arbitrary, not as useful as some think. It's also true for term limits in offices other than president. Why get rid of dedicated public servants who have experience, connections & seniority just because of a number? If they're not doing the job, vote 'em out.

You may be listening to/reading the wrong people. True comedy professionals (and even those of us who do it for nothing) never "punch down." In The Three Laws of Comedy, it comes right after "K is a funny letter," and the rule of three.

Don't they consider collective nouns such as "team" or "company" to be plural in the UK? I know I've heard British people say things like "the team are working on" as in your example.
