A severe solar storm is expected tonight ( Friday May 10). There are expected to be communication disruptions. I would love it if anyone who experiences disruptions could Spout out what happened to them.

Jeez, now there are at least three bunnies. One is hiding in my garage tight now and I just saw two different ones crawl under my next door neighbor's house.

The actual lecture starts at around 12 minutes. Some might find it a little dry at first, but it gradually picks up and then around 1:00:00 we get to Sodom and Gomorrah and Leviticus where things get pretty juicy, so to speak.

I used to surf with a guy with severe Tourettes. I asked him about it. He said he never took meds before surfing because then people keep their distance and he gets more rides. Made me wonder how many people we assume are Schizophrenic but it's really Tourettes + PTSD from the way they're treated.

Ukraine needs a larger mobilization and her allies need to consider deporting draft age Ukrainian men who are elegible. I opposed the draft during the Viet Nam war, but this is not the same. We were involved in a neocolonial war in Viet Nam, Ukraine is fighting for its life.

Ok, I'm a hypocrite.

The decision Mr. Bouzy made that spouts will be propagated by followers rather than algorithms is a very organic, low tech approach that is far superior to any of the algorithms that constantly try to manipulate me elsewhere. It really encourages people to interact and share. It creates community.

Could Mr. Bouzy or a rep from Spoutible please spout out guidance regarding linking external video content? Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. I don't have any issues with following rules, but I'm having trouble figuring out what I'm doing wrong.

It's not clear to me who this guy is. There is some sketchy stuff in his background, which he talks about in one video, but I have never found any misinformation in his talks (that I can tell). His POV on current events seems pretty logical and informed to me, but I'm not sure what to make of him.

John C. Hamer of Centre Place in Toronto has a series of lectures about history, philosophy and theology on YouTube. He explains complex ideas and events in an accessible way, without talking down to his audience. I'm not religious, but I find his lectures fascinating.

This happens too often to be deemed a random mistake. If the only way to stop it is to charge the police with manslaughter, then that's what has to happen.

This is the stuff I geek out on: re-arranging piano or big band arrangements for guitar. This guy's not a particularly fluid solo guitarist, but I don't care because his arrangement is really good. What is really interesting to me is that he explains his strategy and thought processes.

Lately I've been getting emails and texts from the Trump campaign. I don't recall ever being contacted by Republican candidates in the past. I take this as a sign that the campaign is either incompetent or desperate, likely both.

Did you know that if your hat says it is made from Shantung Straw or Toyo Straw, it is actually made from shellacked rice paper? It is a process invented in the 11th century in Japan. Panamas, which are woven from palm fiber and come from Ecuador, are great, but I prefer my Toyos and Shantungs.

I don't want to hear anything about the "welfare state" from house Republicans. Those useless grifters are the epitome of welfare frauds. They get paid $174K per year plus all the bribes they can hustle for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. How dare they even utter the word "welfare"!

in 1964 I was doing my paper route, listening to music on my cheap little transistor radio when I first heard Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come". That moment was revelatory for me, partly because of Cooke's voice, but also it marked the point at which my understanding of the world began to change.

Chickens have lips, bears are Catholic and the Pope shits in the woods. Tell me I'm wrong.

Accuracy Alert!

Based on the sources, the phrases 'Chickens have lips, bears are Catholic and the Pope shits in the woods' seem to be malaphors, which are a blend of metaphors or idioms. Contrary to the literal interpretation, chickens do not have lips. Also, the expressions 'bears are Catholic' and 'the Pope shits in the woods' are commonly used rhetorical phrases implying an obvious 'yes' to a question. They are blending of two separate idioms - 'Does a bear shit in the woods?' and 'Is the Pope Catholic?' These phrases are not meant to be taken literally as they are primarily used for humor or emphasis rather than to convey factual information.

I know this is a day late, but for those who don't know, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican independence day. It celebrates beating the French in a battle, so in that sense it's actually more like Hanukah only with barrel bombs and Cuervo shooters.

If a person knows Trump is a criminal and votes for him anyway, then my non-legal opinion is that they are criminals, as well. This undoubtedly has no practical consequences for anyone and will affect nothing except how I feel about and interact with the person. I'm sure they couldn't care less.
