My favorite part of #PrepTober is freaking out all October about the public commitment to writing 50k words for #NaNoWriMo , so then later in November you can also freak out about having to write 50k words because of your public commitment.

Just read THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY and was blown away. I hadn't seen the movie and wasn't expecting a mix between Catch Me if You Can, and THE GREAT GATSBY, plus a few extra shakes from the murder spice rack. 5 stars. Loved the writing style & tension.

My #WIP BILL'S BYTES centers a #YA with a dream to open a catering biz. The main staple is his late Nana's fudge. This simple MacGuffin is meaningful to me - my late grandmother was famous for her delicious fudge. I put my grandmother's recipe in the back of the book🥰

Ours is "Otters Before Self". After we got married, my sweetheart and I would drive past a school on our way to work and they had "Others Before Self" spelled w/ cups in their chainlink fence, but it looked like "otters".
