They need to understand that libel is not a cute whoopsies. We are real authors, not their own fictional characters to puppet whatever propaganda they want.

Pretty soon it will be only AI consuming crappy AI-produced content about alternative reality things the AI thought important. Bravo, tech bros. You've discovered another industry to sink. Sorry NFTs didn't work out, but at least you have this.

😁 It's the same guy who every night says, "I'll wake up early tomorrow to work out." Just an overly ambitious rendition of my former self.

Thanks. As an FYI, part of my self-care is listening to the #RootingForUPod podcast. Writing can be a lonely adventure.

What a weird phenomenon, as if there are ghosts in the keyboard that inhabit us upon sitting down to write - their story becomes our story.

Blue light glasses are so strange. When I wear them I can't tell if they're working, but I miss them when I don't have them. End of the day eye fatigue feels less for me anyway - whether the glasses are placebo or not I do feel better. Glad they're helping you too.

3/3 Just beware I guess if present tense is outside the norms of your genre, your readers may not like it. That goes for 1st person perspective as well. It's a shame, as 1st person present can really enrich a story.

2/n Those same readers may also be opposed to 1st person perspectives, but I really enjoy that in both past/present tenses (I read a lot of crime, mystery, and noir) - you really can't beat 1st person present tense for suspense - each tick of the clock is live and present which adds to the fun.

Hi @DrRogueLoonWoman - I personally love reading in both, though writing in present tense is jarring for me. Some readers associate present tense writing with YA (Hunger Games and Legendborn come to mind) and may hold their nose up at it 1/n

I hate that feeling. I always seem to need to write in a new Chapter 1 after I'm a few drafts in for this very reason. Good luck -
