It's worth the effort. In addition to mental health you also get these physical benefits.

Your welcome. Another tip. Critters are attracted to some fertilizers or other material you add when planting. I prepare the plant area/pot a day before planting and they will dig it up and learn nothing there. Then plant. I live in the middle of a forest, every imaginable critter visits my garden.

Tulle. I have used it for years, keeps all critters off my plants, prevents squash borer access, etc. Just lay a piece on the surface.

They also destroy the eggs of other House Wrens. Single males compete for females even after a pair has begun nesting. In about half of these contests the outsider succeeds, at which point he usually discards any existing eggs or nestlings and begins a new family with the female. -AAB

I manage 10 Blue Bird boxes on my private property. It is common for this Wren to destroy the eggs of nesting Blue Birds, often throwing them to the ground.

Welcome to birding! Although many millions of birds migrate at night, many drop down early morning and you may find hundreds
of birds in your backyard , park, etc. They usually remain until night fall and will be gone as fast as they arrived.

This headline is a little deceiving. The article states its one of two options, “So I anticipate one of two things will happen here..." The other is a sit down warning. So the headline is speculation. Read the article and determine for yourself.

I use very weak fill flash on most of my shots, primarily to get the catch light in the eye, but it also helps with color separation

I guessed you lived near that area when you posted WPAB weather. I lived in the Dayton, Springboro, and Far Hills area for many years. Have not been back for more than 30+ yrs. My son lived in Fairborn until his passing.
