UPS is the fifth largest purchaser of turkeys in the US! It gives every worker a turkey for Christmas. I used to organize a drive to donate turkeys to the local St Vincent De Paul’s. All this because we were/are union!

Link previews only work if the website being linked to offers a preview image. IMO Facebook often does not. A work around is to post a screencap here as an image and then keep the URL in the body of your spout.

Today, my little munchkin, Beauregard, turns 9yo. The giant breeds typically live between 8-10 years, so I know our time is short.

As for the naysayers and trolls, fuck them. They first claimed I was never going to launch the platform. Then they claimed no one would join a platform called Spoutible. When we launched, and people joined, they claimed Spoutible would be dead within a month. We continue to prove them wrong.

So now it's time to prove a social media platform can be viable without targeted harassment, rampant abuse, and disinformation. If we can do it, then other platforms can do it too.

I say "choosing" because it is a choice. It's not easy to always pay attention & think about consequences – & it's a lot easier for white, cis, het, able-bodied people to let their biases & privileges direct their thinking. But it's certainly doable...and the only ethical way to be.
