I’m sorry, can you explain to me what you are asking here? This is completely a me issue and not a dig at the writing of the question — but I don’t know if it’s asking how often the conversations I see are meaningful/respectful or how often I actually participate in them (like/comment/echo/quote).

The thing I most valued on Twitter was being able to follow activists & independent journalists who covered beats aligned with my interests… I don’t know what it would take to get those folks here, but…

I know Threads is probably not ideal, but a lot of people from Twitter are there too. It's allowed me to stop using Twitter so I'm not helping Musk fund his X-periment. They also have a, somewhat, functional website now at threads.net for computer browsers.

The section on other platforms should include a "haven't tried it" option. Without that, the data is skewed by the presumption that everyone is on ALL of them -- which I for one am not.

I selected "Interesting people to follow" because Spoutible has become my place for fun. I would have selected "Fun, music, photos, and scavenger hunts" if it was listed. "Breaking news" is also a high priority for me. "Interesting people" does not mean celebrities to me unless they are fun.
