Questions for the over 40 crowd:
Did you blast music in your car in your 20s and 30s?
How is your hearing now?
Have you had it checked recently?
Are you still blasting music in your car?

Loud but not blasting.
I worked at a live music venue though. I also spent time dancing in clubs with loud music.
Hearing is okay, not great.
Nope.
Not for years.

Yes. Yes, I did. I blasted music everywhere
I blasted music all the time. I worked in bars with extremely loud music…without protection.
I still blast music on occasion
I also have significant hearing loss, so my TV is sometimes too loud for good ears
I rely on subtitles
WHAT?
CAN YOU REPEAT THAT?

No, but I wrote code for years and would go down to the computer room to do it. It was always nice and cold in there and they had huge fans as well. I didn't realize between the mainframes, printers, fans and AC that it was actually damaging my hearing. I've suffered from tinnitus 24/7 ever since

Sometimes, yeah.
Fine, but bad with lots of ambient noise.
No.
Define "blast." I guess sometimes.

I am 60. Went to many concerts. Played the music loud and still do. I am fine. Would go more more concerts if given the chance.

My cars during my youth had basic (awful) radios so blasting distorted things so much it mostly ruined the music. Now, though, my car speakers are my best speakers

I’m in my late 60s. I’ve always blasted my music as long as I remember and still do. I have no hearing issues as far as I know. I haven’t had my hearing checked in years.

I bought a car just for the system it had in it. It was loud. Luckily my hearing is still fine.

Yes and sometimes still do. 😬 I’ve had my hearing checked and they said it was fine but I know it’s not as good as it was.

Yes.
I have a slight hearing loss in one ear.
(but not from that. work)
And I still crank the tunes in the car when I see fit.
(but usually it's podcasts when driving. Music is usually on headphones, and honestly...not that loud)
