#DailyPictureTheme #Forge

I was 50 when I decided to get my Master’s degree in Library & Information Science and start a new career as a librarian. People questioned why and whether I could do it. I had to #forge on despite doubts, graduated with a 4.0 gpa and now love being a librarian.

I would love to hear about what the classes are like and how you selected your program. And how long it took if you didn’t go full time. Signed, a 50+ gal trying to select a Master’s degree to go after.

Congratulations to you and your second career!

I was 49 when I finally achieved my Masters in Nursing Science and became a Nurse Practitioner. It was a career goal since I started as a 2 yr RN in 1980. I just retired last year.

I believe advice columnist Ann Landers decades ago told someone that in xx years you can either be 50 years old and a doctor or just be 50 years old. Sound like you totally agree. Congratulations on your tremendous achievement!

I love it. At 47, I just graduated with my masters in Urban and Regional Planning. No 4.0, but I'm excited about it.
