So our local library is having a quilt exhibit,
next week, and going to be entering two. One will be a real old vintage crazy quilt but can't decide between these two? These are a few that I've hand quilted. Thoughts?

The stained glass is made from dresses my granny wore and also some old feed sacks. You hardly ever see redwork anymore as in the crib quilt. They were squares I found at a flea market.

I love them both, the stained glass style one for its more modern feel, and the redwork one for the classic style. Phenomenal work!!

I've always heard that pattern referred to as "Cathedral Windows" - is it the same? Love that one. (I've never been a particular fan of redwork.)

Yes. It can go by both names, maybe whatever area of the country you live?? Yeah, redwork is definitely one that some folks don't like. It was popular between 1855-1925 and just decided to pay homage to the lost art.

Difficult decision because I love them both.

All so well made. I'm partial to the second one. The details are gorgeous.

Thank you Bren! You can't hardly find red work embroidery work any more. I would have made it larger if I had more.

They are both beautiful and unique pieces. I think the more intricate quilting is in the one with the embroidery. What lovely work you’ve done.

I love them both but I think the second with the red work is really interesting.

Wish I could've found more stamped squares having the nursery rhymes but the vendor only had those four. You don't see much red work anymore.
Thank you Virginia!

Tough choice! I think I’d say the cathedral window, but only because the redwork quilt doesn’t contain a square asking “Who hit Liz with a pork chop?” like the vintage one Julie Silber showed at the EBHQ show recently😂 Would love to see the crazy quilts as well.

These are both spectacular! I do love the colours in the stained glass quilt. But as everyone seems to be saying, the crib quilt is so unique. Can't choose!

I don't know enough about quilting to know which provides a more unusual or "interesting" example but I love the colors I can't get over it.

They're both really gorgeous, fantastic work! My mom was a quilter of sorts and I know how much time it takes, big respect.
I have to say that the crib quilt is so unique and perfect, it might really stand out, but Idk what other entries are likely to be.

I would enter the first one like everyone says. I would love to see a picture of the other one you’re entering unless you’ve already done so and I’ve missed it.
