I have this weird thing about reading a new book. If I can’t get drawn into the story within the first 10 minutes or so I move on …🤷‍♀️

Not weird in the least. I read the first page of a potential book, and if it seems promising I thumb through a few places in the middle to see if resonates. If not, the book's not for me.

Not weird at all. It makes great sense to only spend time in places and with characters that connect with you right away. There are too many adventures waiting. Why settle?

I used to have the attitude that I owed it to the book to stick with it, but now I'm like, there are literally thousands & thousands of good books I'll never have time enough to read so I can't waste time on this.

I'm kinda like that, if the MC puts me off within the first few chapters I chuck it in the poop books pile.

All of the above. Life's too short & there is too much good stuff out there to waste your time on something that doesn't grab you. I don't care how well-reviewed or popular it is. It's your eyeballs.
