“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

We just spent 9 weeks trying to get shelter and housing for our 30 year old male. No success.

We have found a place 2 hours away… It’s ridiculous

I work in the Housing Dept of a Florida city. Sadly that's where we are at here too. There is nowhere near enough affordable housing/shelter for the need. Especially if its an entire family. And it's only getting worse. Quickly. The uptick in homeless seniors is alarming.

We are seniors and our landlord just sold the home we are renting. Housing is incredibly tight. Could take us months to find housing.

If you were in the States I could point you toward two subsidized apartment buildings for seniors with vacancies. I doubt many people would want to relocate, though.
