The Ten Commandments will be in TX classrooms.

None are abt abortion/being gay

One’s abt adultery
One’s abt lying
One’s abt stealing
One’s abt coveting goods
One’s abt coveting other men’s wives

Bc it's never too soon to learn your Trump-supporting adults are spiritual frauds.

Just for fun:

For Jews, only one is about coveting. For Christians it’s two.

There is no blanket prohibition against lying. Not just in the 10 commandments—in the Bible. There IS a prohibition against lying when testifying. And there is a prohibition against deceptive business practices.

Did a quick dive into this. There is history of interpretation that supports you—bearing false witness = lying. And history of interpretation that supports that bearing false witness = lying in a judicial process—and doesn’t apply more broadly.

Thanks for your post. My comment was more from an individual’s POV since the other Commandments are also from that perspective. But I do understand it could be different in a court of law.
