Question: When you are on your timeline and click a spout, how long do you estimate it takes you to read and/or reply, before you click back to your timeline?

As someone observed it depends. I can go wandering off into other spouts, but if reading and goibg straight back, about a minute or less.

A minute or less most of the time? I think I probably took maybe a minute to click into this thread, read the comments, and write this reply.

Depends on the topic, and if I am also reading the replies. Very easy to go down a rabbit hole.

Seconds.

(And then at least a minute to get back to where I was.)

It varies. Sometimes super quick, sometimes it’s twitchy.

It can take up to 30 - 60 seconds. Since going back to your Timeline doesn't put you back where you were previously, I open a new tab for any Spouts I wish to reply to/echo, etc. – then go back to my Timeline tab. I always have several tabs open.

over a minute. "going back to the timeline" is still wonky. it never puts you in the last place you were when you hit the spout to reply. doable, just a longer process.

Certainly depends on the response. If in agree, less than a minute. Sometimes we need/should take a few minutes to decide how to respond.

A couple of seconds minimum. Minutes if I'm trying to figure out if Denzel is listening or trying to remember if he shaved this morning.

Like everyone else, it varies between 4 seconds and a few minutes, depending on what the content is and what I'm doing with it.

If just reading 30 seconds to 5 minutes, if there is an article.
Outlier here. But if replying, 2 minutes to 10 minutes.

Varies...sometimes I click on a Spout to read the comments only, with no intention of replying. The number and creativity of the responses can keep me there for a few seconds or a few minutes...

Depends on the content of the spout and how many replies it has as I try to read them all but I would say about 5 minutes max for the majority of spouts.

Ditto - I don't spend a lot of time on my timeline, but the same is true for posts I read on the Explore tab - up to 5 minutes is fair.

5-60 seconds, depending on how detailed a thought I try to put into the reply. On average, though, I'd say 7 seconds.

Seconds to minutes, depending on the spout and it's referents, and on how distracted I get.

Reading? 30sec to 5min depending on if I’m also reading replies.

Replying? 30min, easy. I’m wordy & usually have to edit to stay under 300chars. Also, I’ve a tendency toward directness that I’ve learned can be off-putting, so I revise a LOT to minimize the risk of my tone/mood/intent being misread.

Depends on what the spout is about. Sometimes it takes a while, sometimes just briefly. Then there are outside factors such as being called away mid-reply and not returning for an hour or so to finish it up.

It varies a lot. I usually click on a spout to read the replies. If there aren't a lot of comments prob less than 60secs. If there r lots of comments or if I want to reply to the spout or a comment prob about 2-3 minutes. If it's a link to an article prob 5mins or more.
