I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

Sincere question... not being argumentative. What might you want to post that isn't allowed here?

There are specific rules against posting "porn". There is no clarification of what that means. Nor I am certain what the rules will specifically end up stating once they are fully amended.

That means sex workers literally cannot earn a living here, on a safe platform where they can be protected.

This is why the majority of users object to “adult” content on this platform. We are here to interact socially, but you are here to advertise your OF site. I don’t want clickbait, whether it’s adult content or insurance sales.

To be fair, I’m not at all sure the creators of Spoutible were attempting to create a platform where we could all come earn a living. I think it was about connecting people and allowing them to engage, interact, & exchange ideas in a safe space. I hope you find what you’re looking for.

I don’t think ANY social media platform allows porn but this one has been doing a better job of preventing harassment in general. I’d prefer users who want it to have to seek out adult content than have it on the main feed

It has not even been a week of this new platform and this is your ask. Aren't there other sites where porn category can be freely shown?

God FORBID I advocate for an already marginalised group of people, many of whom are disabled people trying to earn a living in a safe way, during a pandemic the world would like to pretend doesn't exist. Absolutely shocking of me! 🙄

Twitter allows adult content. It is also likely to become a more prominent feature of Twitter based on reporting about Musk's plans for the site.

Can you explain what sex workers need to post her to earn a living? Sincere question.

Why does anyone use SM to enhance, promote or run their business? It's not complicated.

I see. CBouzy has had community conversations and he will likely have more. I don't know what the result would be but I would think (hope) he'd be open to talking about it, and maybe there could be parameters that could work. It was brought up at the last one and seems to need more discussion.

Yeah I hope we can get some more engagement on it. Though it's honestly not comforting to know it was basically just presumed from the get go that this would be outlawed in the TOS, because it says a lot about those who wrote those TOS.
