2020, this was great! The moment I saw that skate key I remembered using it with my skates, and fixing my little sister’s skates. And I can sing every word to that song. Thank you for the memories you just brought me about my sister. She is passed, but not forgotten.

Truthfully Gail, I was hanging under the helicopter, gravity pulling my arms and legs down, while my communication cord pulled my head up. We hovered over a lake and a crewman and the pilot that dumped me out, pulled me back in. “I loved it, a really wild ride.”

Every day in the Navy was a “profound learning experience.” I was sitting on the bow of an aircraft carrier(Saratoga) going through the Suez Canal, when I realized “you can sail a ship through the desert.” I never dreamed of miles of sand surrounding my ship!

Hello Harlan, the soup was served in a pink plastic bowl. The only seasoning was salt. It taste like warm water, boiled potatoes, and armadillo. The meat was very tender. The couple had nine daughters, I am single. Dad was looking for a sun-in-law. However, I am far too old for a teenage wife.

Rollo, I have quoted many Civil Rights icons, black, white, Indian, etc. Yes, I am white. In answer to your question, I did this while working on a Masters in History. I like to keep history accurate, if history can only be written according to color, the truth will be lost forever.

You are correct Harlan, I do a great deal of cooking myself. Truly, I was not thinking gender when I made the post. Unlike the U.S. gender is not an issue here. Survival is what we concern ourselves with.

Hello Viviane, If the snake is out from the house, I cut a cohune tree leaf and drive it off. (Pic of cohune tree) If it is in the yard, on my patio, I use a water hose with sprayer. Either way, the snakes will first attack before leaving. Keep machetes ready, never do this alone!

Hi Viviane, when I see a snake, I usually run off the ones big enough to eat my dogs. I leave the small ones alone to kill pest if they are not poisonous.

I guess you’re right about scary, the VA once had me on some drugs that were beyond description. They caused me to hallucinate and confused dreams with reality. Life was something like this.

I always see black children in the cotton fields as a form of discrimination. My family worked right along with those black children. Back then, it wasn’t about discrimination as much as it was about just being poor. But yes…they could work together, but they were not allowed to play together.
