Reminder: Be kind to retail workers. A health food store gig once saw me through a career change. Did'ja know that holiday music service they pump in plays six versions of "Monster Mash" this time of year? Those songs loop, a lot. Most are really very awful. Maddening in fact after 8 hours. /PSA

For a long time nbcsnl reminded me of a baseball team. Yearly lineup tweaks, clutch wins, shut outs and streaks good or bad. Nate Bargatze's first appearance was a Game 7 championship walk off. I'm glad he finally got the national audience he deserves.

Well that was refreshing. My mom, who stopped asking her most informed source on history/politics/current events (me) when Fox hit its stride, finally asked *why* they (UKR/RU) are fighting.
