Watching the elections in South Africa, I'm starting to see commentary to the effect of "They've done so little in 30 years." Well, the nation in many ways, to me, is still living the shadows of apartheid. There may be 30 more years to come. The takeaway for me is they haven't abandoned the effort.

From 2023. This is outside the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre, a beautiful cathedral in Paris, France. New by European standards, it was opened in 1914 and from it's vantage point at the top of the hill in Montmartre, it offers stunning views of the city below.
