The industry is so antiquated that I’m not surprised by this article. Writers need to explore self publishing and self promotion. The publishers aren’t trying to help anyone now.

I get so pissed when I see a film by and then the director's name when he didn't write the novel that it's based on. And then the novelist gets their credit at the end of the film after all of the credits when the audience has already left. Y

If you have an agent from your prior publications that is who you should approach before you crowdfund. And if your fiction is based on your nonfiction science background that's a plus.

Writers Rule number one, when you got a good idea. Don't share it. I've never done crowdfunding. So I can't offer advice. Are you self publishing? Sometimes it is about the supporter gifts.

Kickstarter has a big publishing section. It's mostly genre fiction but it might be worth looking into.
With Kickstarter, you should run one or two test campaigns first to get your sea legs. Then run your major campaign.

If you've been able to spout here, then yyou have access to the web and don't need a google account to spout. iOS app will be out any day; it needed some coding work, which delayed things.

So many changes happening seemingly everywhere. Change can be scary and unsettling. I feel out of sorts a lot these days. It doesn't seem as easy to find a balance or figure out what is important to pay attention to and act on. I think after this week I am going to bed early.
