I would have loved to have had one more Del Toro Hellboy movie too, but 1) the first two depended on DVD sales to help make money and that's not much of a thing anymore, and 2) Ron Perlman is 72 years old now, would he want to go through all that again?

Processing a full run of ZOT! (with several of the early issues autographed by Scott!) and boy what a good comic this is. Those amazingly weird bad guys (Dekko, 9-Jack-9). What a series.

I didn't see that survey. I think we should support sex workers. There are plenty of ways to filter content. Sex workers should have safe spaces in online communities too.

-artful nudity or overtly sexual?
-is talking about sex work/kink forbidden? Or just pics/vids?
-which is the hard no?

People experience overt sexuality differently, and me as a European has another POV than an US-American or an Asian. I find both some comments too prude+others not prude enou

This is where @cbouzy could come in with the programming to add content warnings or ways to flag content or accounts as NSFW so it is automatically not shown to someone who tells spoutible they do not want to see it. (for example)

There's no reason it can't be here AND not be in your face.

I'm here and I was never asked. With options/settings like "Allow NSFW content on my feed" I don't see you can't allow people to post what they want, while keeping those who don't want to see it from seeing it. We're all adults here.

It's interesting I never got a notification for a quote that caused a spiral of nastiness on my own thread.

It's interesting no one I know was asked about adult content here though we signed up early.

It's interesting so many comments in fact AREN'T anti adult content, yet this is your base.

I don't remember the question. I think it should definitely be allowed with age verification and nsfw settings. Make this the safe place for all, as long as your interests aren't centered around hate.

Mr. @cbouzy - could we ask again? Maybe with more nuance around vids & pics? SW & the whole of us need a safe space.

I was never asked. So this is an HOA now? Also don’t recall being presented with access to those rules in the first place. I didn’t realize I was joining a a convent.

How is #adult content defined? A person in a Speedo? A person in a bikini? A person in underwear? Two shirtless people hugging? Drag Queens? Pics from a LGBTQ Pride parade? I’ve been around the block a few times and I’m willing to bet “adult content” complaints will be higher against LGBTQ people.

I don't see any overwheming majority here of anything except giving a blur option. Even Twitter has that, so I'm sure you can do better without consigning an entire group of people to a slow, harrassed cyberdeath on Twitter.

From what I gather, sex workers have a hard enough life already. You could add an option that blocks adult content by default or ban anyone who fails to properly label their content as adult.

Strong disagree. I don’t have any interest in it. But I DO want it. I just won’t follow accounts that don’t interest me, same as on the bird. But sex work IS work and valid and deserves a place here. Please reevaluate this policy. It’s wrong.

@cbouzy I would be happy with a blur option or a block adult content option. I deserve to choose when and how I view adult content. However, sex work is work and they need a safe place that isn't the bird app.

This isn't a passive anything. It's a very vocal and open calling out of something I see as wrong and which I am angry about.

Same. I'm not on the mushroom app because they instituted a hard NSFW ban. I'll leave this place if this one holds, too. Part of being an adult on the internet is accepting that sometimes you're gonna be exposed to content you don't like and handling that like an adult, not banning everything.

I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

Every once in a while I think about how I entered the world of comics retail before the first Tim Burton Batman movie, and how I was there for all the Bat-madness that followed, watching from behind the counter. I wish I'd taken better notes instead of relying on fuzzy memories.
