I agree. Most of the right's efforts are about SCOTUS, and I'd add, sweeping back social changes that help minorities gain equality. By packing/ keeping SCOTUS they do not have to worry about winning. And, when caught cheating at trying to win... SCOTUS will be there to give them a soft landing.
