It has been a busy week! This is my first chance to get on here.

I have a little podcast called Murderous Roots. We explore the family trees of killers. We just released a new episode, The Milwaukee Cannibal: Jeffrey Dahmer Part 1..

Oh my. I've spent the whole evening working on my web page preparing for our latest episode covering Jeffrey Dahmer that will go live some time tomorrow. (As soon as I finish the edit.)

For those who haven't listened to it yet, we first discuss what he did then get into his family tree.

We covered her family tree, briefly, on my podcast this summer in connection with Frazier B. Baker, a postmaster lynched because he was Black (no other reason).

I thought I liked her before. After researching her tree, I love her more now.

She can't ever be celebrated enough. Her bravery & determination should inspire us all in these backwards times we're in. In the spirit of Ida Bell Wells-Barnett, let's keep pushing????????⚖

Today as my husband was working on his tree, he learned someone went to jail at 16. Now we are trying to figure out what the codes mean. It took place in Pierce County, Washington in 1961. The charge was : "Hold For Y G." Fell under criminal code. So, what does that mean?

I'm furious. I refuse to sully anyone else's eyes with the link, but the Daily (f)ail has a headline suggesting that women who are sucessful in their careers are just asking for and deserve to be murdered by their less sucessful, lower acheiving husbands.

Not long ago, I about finished the family tree of Aileen Wuornos (fascinating). Now I'm working on the tree of John Wayne Gacy. I love all the work I do for my podcast!

To finish up the research for Season 2, I need to get JWG done as well as Herb Baumeister. We've already recorded Jeffrey Dahm

How many of those parents so excited to ban books in Florida are checking their child’s internet history regularly?

As a former middle school teacher, I can tell you that students are seeing way worse things on the internet than anything they are potentially reading from their school library.

Great news in my world. I'm going to teach a genealogy class this summer (and the fall) at a local community college: "Telling Your Family Story Through Genealogy."

I'll be teaching students how to get context from the facts and find stories about their ancestors. I'm so excited!

African American women of the 6888th Battalion delivered millions of pieces of mail during World War II. The “Six Triple Eight” was given just 6 months to complete this mammoth job. In the midst of bombing and fighting, they completed their job in half the time. #BlackHistoryMonth

Hi from Tampa, where President Biden is expected to continue his Medicare messaging going after FL Sen. Rick Scott today at his second post-SOTU stop. On each chair at the venue, the White House has placed a copy of Scott’s proposal to sunset legislation every

I wanted to put this out there about the idea that Kamala Harris could be replaced as Biden's running mate in 2024.

No.

I've been to this rodeo. Entered it. Rode the bull. And came up with shit.

The idea that he'll drop her as VP? BS. Media theater.

The media plays that card after every POTUS's first term. If he has low approval ratings, it's "Will he dump his VP for a better shot?"

If he has high approval ratings, it's "Will he dump his VP for the one he really wanted?" /4
