In 2004, Dexter Fowler chose baseball over college but promised his parents he would get his degree.
His father even added a clause in his contract for his tuition to be paid.
This past weekend, Fowler fulfilled his promise, surprised his parents and graduated from Penn St.

I live in the Philadelphia suburbs & the Amish live about 50 miles away. Weird Al's song "Amish Paradise" is funny to us because Paradise is a town they live near & a nearby town is named Intercourse. We used to say, "That the quickest way to Paradise is through Intercourse." I'm being serious.
