Congress can change the rules for the Supreme Court and anything less is a short-term fix only to be repeated. FDR had a similar problem over his Court and threatened to pack it because they were going to overrule Social Security...they backed off. We need a better, permanent solution.

Alito's excuse is absurd over the flag issue, the same lame Thomas excuse about Ginny's transgressions. Your wife is not an acceptable scapegoat, not even Trump does that with Melania yet.

Be careful who you give immunity to for their actions and behavior. Now, we have the Supreme Court deciding how much immunity to allow Trump and how's Alito voting given his attitude. The same is true for Thomas and Kavanaugh. They are in an exclusive club with no consequences for their actions.

It goes to Governor Abbott and MAGA followers who have perverted civilized decency for their political gain. They are on the path towards Nazi atrocities towards other groups. It is a coarsening society's values as they put their group above the standard for all groups, now transgressing the law.

Giving something to get something is an old practice in the media. The National Inquirer had a good business at it by tipping off scoops to targets and offering to suppress them for even more dirt on other juice stories. Reputable outlets are supposed to be above his practice, guess not.

It is effective propaganda by Trump and the GOP organization that has convinced way too many voters. Trump is a celebrity and showman as a grifter and his lies is getting across to those who aren't paying attention. It's backed by his political followers in Congress all on the same page.

Trump always brags about his great economy when in office, and Biden is doing it in reality. The stock market is more about the future outlook for the economy. Republicans better be concerned since Investors now are voting with their dollars by buying stocks.

Why do voters not know this and to a lesser extent what Trump did with the wealthy effective tax rates in 2017? These and other lessons are quickly lost on the public We need more commentators reminding them what the GOP is all about with their polices.

Trump at these rallies is primarily an entertainer for followers. He thought it was a funny story so rifted in it. MAGA doesn't have the attention when it comes to a serious discussion of political issues. They want talking points and entertaining stories in rallies.

They don't have a choice, Judge Manchun threatened Trump with jail in the gag order. So he went out got his GOP political sycophants to show up and they immediately go out and insult everyone in court that Trump used to do. It's a quick, flying back an forth on the Washington shuttle in no time.

The confusion comes from the advanced state of propaganda in the nation today honed by Trump and MAGA. The GOP has seen its success and is piling on, too. Mischaracterizing it as a sex story is his defense and makes it seem petty to those not paying attention. Trump is all about misinformation.

Cohen is a sleaze to begin with so he'd secretly tape conversations. Trump is worse and the irony is he's now screaming like a stuck pig. They both deserve each other, and Cohen with the better corroborating evidence wins this one. You have to be dim if by now to still believe Trump's lies.

These revelations scream for an ethics code for the Supreme Court because transparency is what good government is about in maintaining credibility with the people. Without it, these institutions of government can't function in a democracy as we are seeing in the court's low approval rating.

Decent Republicans to save their party should stand up and find the courage to bet Americans won't reelect Trump as an autocrat who will damage democracy. This is the truth of their decision to back Biden this time and let the country move on.

Trump has brought out bigotry in the party and to the fore for all to see. He is under the false assumption it will grow the party, but the opposite instead, as decent people are revolted by it. The GOP is shrinking as people are leaving it under Trump and he is changing its character.

I can't believe MAGA is glorifying in Trump's diapers. These people are lunatics. They are primed for what came before as he floats his version of the Final Solution for say, immigrants. They have declared their divorce from the rest of society. They've embraced what he walks around in his pants.
