I really like this platform but I'm also, like, 65% sure that there's a high chance for "righteous" bullying on here too. Piling on people for not being good enough and what-not. I see it sometimes in fandom circles that strive to be so much of a safe and positive space it becomes an eggshell mine

Once upon a time I use to be young. Of course I knew everything & spoke my mind knowing that my opinions were always right. I wasn't a master with words, so sometimes those ideas came out all wrong. Imagine my surprise that with age came wisdom.

You're just fine. Your older spouties went through a whoooole lot of trauma through the entire trump administration. And are working hard to teach people that third party voting, or not-the-incumbent voting, can be devastating. But imo, it's also ok to criticize the current administration.
