Yes that's always the argument, but it builds into the system the ability to offset the burden. Even if it "sounds" true the fact of the matter is it allows avoidance of a fair share. flat tax eliminates exceptions and results in a shared burden not a proportional burden that gets manipulated

two words "Flat Tax"
Everyone pays the same, no exceptions
Would it impact the poor more? sure, but not as much as letting the 1% skate already does.
And I suspect the poor would be more understanding if they knew EVERYONE paid the same as they did

One of the books on management had the following advice on memos (which can be applied to emails)
put ALL your memos in a drawer
If by the end of the week you haven't dug them out again, they weren't important
A memorandum is written not to inform the reader but to protect the writer.

YOU CAN NOT "shame" a Republican
so decency & compassion looses to amorality

When they go low, we go high works... Only if THEY care
They don't, they won't, watch & see

At the end of the day
Lockstep GOP wins when GOP in majority
& Big tent Dems keep reaching across the aisle

Outrage base to get out voters? Karl Rove said it
Game districts? multi-lawsuits on GOP redistricting
Suppress voters? ballot boxes, voter ID, purge lists
Most America don't want them? 7 of last 8 popular votes went to Dems

They won because they outrage & get out their base
They won because they "game" the districts
They won because they suppress the voters
They won... then they started believing their own propaganda & forget
MOST American don't want them
They can no longer win with voters

1789 1st Supreme Court 6 Justices
1807 Jefferson adds 7th Justice for 7th Circuit Court
1837 Jackson adds 2 Justices for 9th Circuit Court
1863 Congress created a 10th Justice with 10th circuit
1866 Congress reset to 7 Justices & 1869 to 9 Justices
Officially tie it to # circuit courts (13)

No I understood
I think we're saying the same thing from different directions
4 new Justices to equal 13 Circuit courts
I just want to avoid adding 4 to balance now & the packers from the other side from adding 4 more when they have the chance
so my idea is to tie Justice # to Court # officially

I'm not suggesting adding Circuit Courts
I'm suggesting adding Supreme Court Justices
But
What's to prevent the next administration from adding even more?
This is why it's tied to Circuit Courts
You can't add more Justices to "pack" you side without adding more courts
you need two steps

Woke
It's the "W" word for liberals
It's being used by the right as a derogatory term but can any of them define it?
Empathetic; Culturally aware; Socially conscious
Why don't we own this word & make it ours?
Every time it's used respond with
"better woke than bigot"
EVERY. TIME.

Sleep walking sounds so benevolent, like it was an accidental interpretation of "woke"

Now days when "woke" is invoked it's almost always malevolent and/or malicious so I'll stick with "better woke than bigot"

Why would that be?
