Be careful put there folks. Get the new COVID shot as soon as you can. Reduce your risk as much as possible. Traveling is especially risky.

We're still masking here. Same as you, few others mask too.

We stay up to date with current wastewater and active strain trends as best we can. At this point we're taking care of ourselves, even if others choose to roll the dice (and further the dice game to others).

Same here. Masking indoors, no indoor bars or restaurants. Glad to hear others are doing the same. I hope your household member is doing well.

In NYC, masking isn't widespread, but many people are masking again since summer surge. I mask anywhere in public indoors, still not going indoors to restaurants or bars. Protect myself & my loved ones is my new golden rule. Member of my household had covid 2 wks ago.

It’s not time to stop wearing a mask. No one in my family ever had Covid until a month ago. My son-in-law had it last month and my daughter just tested positive yesterday. I think there’s a lot of Covid out there but people take at home tests and don’t report them.

I always carry my mask with me in my pocket, and put it on when I go into a crowded place. My cousin who is a doctor only takes her family to restaurants that have outdoor seating.

I was at two crowded supermarkets today and no one was wearing a mask. No one. Except for me in a kn95. Am I the only one left masking in the US? Is it time for me to stop? Is anyone else out there?

haven’t been sick since 11/19 and I prefer the new way !!! I also avoid eating inside but I did have lunch in a restaurant Friday so…. I just continue to minimize risk wherever I can and it’s no problem at all !

I still mask in crowded indoor spaces or when I am transitioning past lots of unknown people. I take it off if I’m inside and at least 6 foot distanced from folks. I got vaxed today and plan to continue. I did get COVID somewhere between Rome and NY in May and it wasn’t fun. Except for that I

Be ready to be vigilant again re: Covid. This story is fm a friend of my sister’s in Sacramento. I’ve heard similar stories in news fm OK, KY, TX. They wore N-95 masks when a plumber came in, didn’t wear a mask (buy extras folks!), & coughed while there. All 5 ppl in hse got Covid. #CovidIsNotOver

Earloop surgical masks are better than nothing but you likely will still catch #COVID wearing one because air leaks in around the perimeter. Weak at least a KN95 but you really need an N95

#N95 masks not only block particles with their material they also block particles because they have an electrostatic charge! An earloop surgical mask isn’t in the same ballpark. The cdc is trying to same the two are the same. Don’t let them!

"Our results support universal masking as an important strategy for reducing #Covid19 incidence in schools and loss of in-person school days."

If you're at high risk of serious illness or death from Covid-19, it's time to dust off those N95 masks. #CNN

And this is exactly why we still wear masks. Sure, we likely won't die now that we've been thoroughly vaccinated, but I'm unwilling to risk #LOngCOVID just to avoid putting cloth on my face. Also? I don't know that someone else I come in contact w/ isn't immune compromised.

Wanna stay out of the hospital? Stay up to date with your vaccinations. Another, coming soon.

Wanna keep yourself from getting sick? Wear a respirator. (KN95: good, N95: better)

[Surgical > cloth masks, the least protective, better than nothing. Respirators are plentiful and worth it.]

New COVID hospital admissions have increased for seven straight weeks and are expected to continue rising. The CDC said it expects anywhere from 1,700 to 9,700 daily COVID admissions by the end of September.

Yep... this is something that EVERYONE should be paying attention to & pushing their legislators to fund more research on. As COVID continues being a mass disabling event, and more people become immunocompromised- whether they know it or not- fungal infections will become legion. We aren't prepared.

Hey Spoutible family I have now had Covid 2x in the last 7 weeks. And my mom just spent 4 days in the hospital because of Covid.

I managed to go 3 1/2 years without Covid but these new variants got me and my mom.

Stay safe and take this strain seriously.

Heads up folks, on 9/30 $40B in Child Care programs expire, impacting working families and single moms all across the country. This is a major economic, political and human rights issue. I have zero confidence that Kevin and his House leaders will do anything about this before it's too late...

Many Americans think that Hawai'ians lived in huts prior to colonization. The US actually de-industrialized Hawai'i. Before 1898, Hawai'i already had mass transit, railroads. The city of Honolulu was lit by nationalized, renewable hydropower before the White House had electricity.
