They definitely create more children that are theirs. But don't play as direct a role in their life. Probably cause there's usually one male orangutan who mates with all the females. And they have a matriarchal society so the papa orangutan is not expected to have an active role in parenting.

True. TV & movies seem to like to leave out the fact that a lot of that same stupid shit is said from outside states that were confederate but believe that same poison. Minus the twang when they say it. Making fun of Southern accents across the board is a punching down mentality imo
