Now that Twitter is 'working' again I just went back, and after a while realized that, after getting the info updates I was looking for, I was spending almost all my time fighting and blocking. We are holding up well, considering the circumstances. In the morning, we will get started getting search back online and fixing the profile 404 errors. I don't expect the wave of new users to keep flooding in like this for much longer. Elon will reverse course soon.

The Canada fires, death dealing heat in the southern USA, etc., etc. Every year it gets worse. Sadly, it’s the shape of things to come. Parts of the world will become uninhabitable because of extreme heat. Mass migrations will happen. We waited and fucked around too long.

To be clear, besides Bluesky, I support the other Twitter alternatives. Of course, I want people to use Spoutible, but I hope the others will succeed. The reason why I am not supporting Bluesky is because I have seen how Jack treats marginalized communities. Bluesky will be just as toxic as Twitter.
