FYI - in Canada, our New Democratic Party is ORANGE, Liberal party is RED Green party is GREEN, and the conservative party is blue. Many American profiles contain political affiliation, and I thought this distinction might be important when choosing Canadians to follow.

One of my favorite things about Spoutible is this... When I Spout something, it reaches anyone that it naturally comes across. There's nothing rigging the algorithm against me. I will have genuine new people seeing my stuff and liking it or sharing it or even commenting on it. So nice!

I'm a bit in my feelings about #FirstWaveSpoutible . Not its existence, per se, but there are times it makes me feel like it's being used as an us and them. Obviously not everyone/all the time, but sometimes it feels smug. Glad we are all here, and I'm enjoying being part of a shifting landscape.

My wife gave birth, and I adopted him when he was born. I went to pick up his passport, the agent said "You can't sign for this. You're not his real mother." I remember taking step back from the counter, a deep breath, and said "I recommend you never use those words to an adoptive parent again."
